BRACERA (KAŠTELA)

Bracera, a traditional Adriatic wooden cargo sailing ship. It appeared on the shores of the eastern Adriatic in the 16th century. One of the assumptions is that it got its name from the first boats of this type, built for the inhabitants of the island of Brač (Italian Brazza) for the transport of people, livestock and other cargo and for fishing.
