PINTA

Pinta was the fastest of the three ships. The type of ship is a caravel, which was very popular with sailors at the time. From this ship, Rodrigo de Trijana first saw the mainland of America on October 12, 1492, probably the island of Guanahani in the Bahamas. The Pinta was smaller than the other ship, Santa Maria.
